Exercise particular care when positioning bridges and stairs
Help to avoid dangers and risks when attaching passenger bridges and stairways to an aircraft. In particular, always remember the correct use of lights: they have to be switched off before the bridge or stairway is positioned at the aircraft to prevent damage from the bridge heating up.
So please note the following:
- The headlamps should be switched off after stopping.
- Point this out to the bridge driver in case the lamps are still on.
- When positioning covered motorized stairs, make sure that all lamps are off before positioning the stairs.
Small cause, big effect. Repairing a bridge head is costly and time-consuming.
Everybody can help to avoid such damage.
