Third “Air Cargo Innovation Lab” Held at Frankfurt Airport with a Focus on Innovations in Logistics

Major industry event attended by some 100 air cargo experts – Conference hosted jointly for the third time by Fraport AG and DVV Media Group

Leading minds and decision-makers from the field of logistical innovations met on November 8, 2018 at the third “Frankfurt Air Cargo Innovation Lab” (FACIL) at Frankfurt Airport. The focus of this year’s conference was on how innovation is impacted by global developments, such as the introduction of trade tariffs, the new Silk Road, or data security issues.

Hosted by Fraport in collaboration with the DVZ magazine and Air Cargo News, the full-day conference gave industry representatives and innovation experts an opportunity to exchange ideas on the future of air cargo and logistics, and discuss new approaches for closer cooperation.

The event drew speakers from all over the world, including from Airbus and EDM Aerotec, who were amongst the winners of an IDL Award (Innovation Award of German Aviation) this year. In addition to providing a platform for sharing ideas on innovations and new developments, the event featured expert discussions and a panel debate on the latest innovation trends in logistics.
