Clear strategy for climate protection
Fraport will significantly reduce the CO2 emissions at Frankfurt and across the entire group by 2030.
The goal is to lower the group’s total annual CO2 emissions to 95,000 tonnes and those at Frankfurt Airport to 50,000 tonnes by 2030.
Fraport is aligning the reduction targets for its group companies outside Germany with the national goals of the countries in which they are located. Frankfurt Airport’s goal for the year 2030 is geared to the targets for 2050 defined by the German government’s climate protection plan. Accordingly, Fraport’s CO2 emissions at Frankfurt Airport and for the Fraport Group as a whole will decline to zero by the year 2045.
